"If I hadn't stumbled upon his site back in early 2014, I absolutely would not be the writer I am today. Thanks, Dean!"
I'm a few years behind you. I got Plotting with Depth workshop in 2019, but I read Dean's blog before for two or three years before that. I also read The Passive Voice Blog (the comments were aweson, I remember Laura Resnick commenting there), then Kristine Kathryn Ruschs blog, and other indie blogs. I remember the news about Amanda Hocking back in the day when selfpublishing was new.
Looking back I should propably get my stories out myself. I have a lot of information stored up.

I agree. Definitely get them out. Use at least D2D and Amazon. Readers can't enjoy them if they aren't out there.
True, also that's a good antidote for critical voice fear of ridicule. If you don't risk it no one will get to enjoy your stories.
(Mom has read some stories and she's proud)
If you need any guidance as you begin with D2D and Amazon, don't be afraid to ask.
Thank you, I will. I have personal quest to take on this year which may put things on pause for a time.
Well, if that comes to pass, good luck with it.
Yeah, I'm looking at other writers experiences with the same challenge and it should be doable. Especially with help from other writers.
I miss The Passive Voice.
Yup, me too.
Me too. I read it almost daily, and it had one of the best comment sections.
do you know why he stopped writing it?
Nope. I just keyed-in the URL one day and got an error saying it wasn't there. I just tried again and the connection timed out.
There were certification errors and then it disappeared.
