I'm sorry that you're stepping back a little from the journal (it's the only thing in my inbox every day that I read in it's entirety) but I certainly understand that the fiction comes first.
One thing you could possibly share in future topics would be your marketing efforts. Now that I have published my stories (individually and anthologies) that's the biggest thing I need help with. Marketing is so foreign to me as a writer and in my past life as a banker that I am a little lost. I've bought a few books (downloaded yours) and done a few webinars, but I am still trying to come to grips with it.
Without your encouragement and advice I still would be unpublished! So thank you very much.
Yes, I'll try to share in the Journal what works, but the main thing I've seen over the years is "build a list."
Next (to my mind) comes Amazon ads and other advertising. That's probably where I'll start. Then the various book-promotion sites per Dave Chesson's "Semi-Secret List of Favorite Book Promo Sites." You can get that free by clicking the link in today's Of Interest and signing up for his newsletter.
Thanks for your efforts to date. I can't fault you for wanting change. That is what life is all about, after all.
>>> who writes a daily or even a weekly or monthly blog for other writers?
No one. You took the words right out of my mouth about DWS and his blog. I've pretty much stopped looking at it but to scan his posts occasionally for the few gems.

Thanks, Sylvia. Good to hear.

Seconded
I'm one who looks for it daily and reads it with my coffee.
You're right to give more of your precious time to your fiction.
I'll try to be brave... easier since you're not quitting altogether.
And a good time for me to get back to writing fiction first thing.
See? It worked out perfectly! :-)

Thanks, Peter. I still visit Dean's blog every morning (habit) but only to see whether there's anything I can add to Of Interest.
Sounds like a solid change! Here for it.
Thanks, Zack. Did you actually read the whole post that quickly? :-)
What can I say, I was up early
You and me both, brother.
