I love Sarra Cannon's channels (HeartBreathings is her main planning and writing channel.) But, she is definitely NOT a writer into the dark. But, she does have a lot of positive, awesome advice on believing in yourself, planning, organizing your life, and is very supportive of writers, no matter how you do it. And her Publish and Thrive course is great for the business side of writing.

Thank you for the info on covers. I will be working on that soon. I hadn't jumped on the deposit photos deal yet but now thinking maybe I should. Not sure how long it will be going on. I had an email about the sale a bit ago and keep wondering if I missed it yet. Lol.

Also regarding the kdspy pro I have not used it but I purchased the basic version and it was helpful in the beginning but now it is basically useless for me due to changing the way you have to search for what you are looking for. So, I would be hesitant to purchase another of their products. Perhaps they let the other one become obsolete to push the new product. I also have publisher rocket which has been ok but I rarely use it either.

What I did find extremely helpful though was using chatgpt for market analysis and genre comparisons as well as marketing info. I had been wanting to try Klytics for that but the $100 a month seemed a lot to me plus the genre report I wanted the most was not even out yet.

So I tried Chat gpt. Chat gpt was able to give me keyword lists, tropes, blurbs, book launch plans, all those publishing and marketing things. Within seconds and for free. It told me which genres out of the ones i selected were more competitive, which would be easier to break into. Pros and cons of each. It can also give you a 30 day writing plan with word count goals and trackers. If you want those things. It was also super user friendly. I did not have to use any specific "prompts" I just had a conversation with it. So, while writing with ai may be out, it can still be extremely helpful for authors.
