Re: Your Writing Method Often Holds You Back

I always enjoy Dean's posts about his early writing career. But for the last five paragraphs, it's another great post. Although, I took a bathroom break yesterday during the writing of a critical scene. I haven't had one since, so it looks as though I've conquered my blockage.

I love people watching, and I've even gotten my husband doing it. Some of the stories HE comes up with are beyond wild. He can have me in stitches in no time. The most memorable he came up with, we were having dinner at Cafe Roka in Bisbee. We'd been seated on the second floor at the balcony near the stairs, so we could watch people below us and those using the stairs to go up the third floor. He ended up creating this elaborate story about the restaurant being run by vampires, since of all the people who went up to the third floor, we only saw staff come back down while we were there and they were usually carrying trays covered with cloths. One of my most memorable anniversaries. LOL
